Freedom Can Be Messy Always Worth Fighting For

“You think you're fighting for freedom. Freedom is dangerous.

Give humankind freedom and they will inevitably fall into chaos and war, religious zealotry and senseless violence. We have kept the peace. And we've done it by giving the people what they need, when they need it.
Not what they want. Want is nothing but blind and selfish greed.” ~ Smoke and Iron (The Great Library, Book 4)

A sentiment wrapped in virtue that in reality happens only when thousands have been killed in order to consolidate such power – the power to decide for hundreds of millions of people what is good for them and what isn't.

Guess what?

People don't need your godlike guidance. They need to grow.

To grow they need access to knowledge and wisdom, not to be told what to do and when to do it – and ultimately what to think, feel, and believe.

I'll take Freedom in the USA over having my needs taken care of by any who claim to be Marxist such as those who control the states of North Korea, China, Cuba, Vietnam, Laos.
