Persicope – What Is It and Why an Ebook?
Livestreaming. It's the next best thing out there and will be around for a long time.
Periscope is a smartphone app, available for both Android and Apple devices via their respective app stores.
It's a livestreaming app owned by Twitter. And though you don't need a Twitter account to use it, it sure makes it easier to market your broadcast!
Every online business can use Periscope to connect with their market, their advocates, their referral partners.
Before doing a Periscope broadcast yourself, watch other people's scopes and get a feel for what it looks like and how it works. Not sure who to watch? You can begin with the people I follow. What are the hearts? Hearts are like applause or Likes that viewers give the broadcaster and they are cumulative on Periscope. You can give people hearts by tapping anywhere on the glass of your mobile device during their scope. The more you tap, the more hearts you give. If you want to comment on something the broadcaster said, simply type your comment in the chat box, click “send” and s/he will see it and will likely comment back during the scope. I personally love the interaction between viewers and broadcaster because it provides immediate gratification for both of us!
Periscope is fun and, if used effectively, can truly be a game changer for your business. It definitely gets to the know, like and trust factor faster and more effectively than any other social media platform out there. I encourage you to give it a try and to create at least five scopes before determining whether or not it's right for you and your business.
