2020 has been an amazing year of business and personal growth.
It's been similar to my experience in 2009 when I had to pivot in my business to survive the recession.
In both cases, I did the same thing:
– experiment
– go where the money flows easy
– don't try to leapfrog over the learning and reputation building needed to become established.
Short cuts are great for walks, hikes, and short term wins. They don't work for long-term success.
I want to give a shout out to Barb Ling.
I've been a follower and student of hers for quite a few years.
In 2019 I joined DAB Coaching program and had access to her and her partner, Dennis Becker.
They have been instrumental in getting me to create and sell my own products.
This year, she stepped up as a business coach and shared with me her experience in business, her strength from her own life challenges, and her hope that each day above ground means there are opportunities and possibilities.
It is because she believed in me that I could start to believe in myself and am now able to say …
the direction my business has taken is exciting and profitable
and
2020 has been a successful year for me.
I raise my coffee cup to you, Barb “Make It Happen” Ling – master of reinvention and comebacks – thank you for being my business coach and my friend.
And to the rest of you I say:
It is better to take many small steps in the right direction than to make a great leap forward only to stumble backward.
Have a bias toward action – let's see something happen now. You can break that big plan into small steps and take the first step right away.
