4 Ways to Get More Subscribers
Building an email list is an excellent marketing strategy in terms of ROI (return on investment).
The amount you spend on building a list is relatively small compared to the amount you potentially stand to earn. This is one of the biggest appeals of this form of marketing and especially for very small businesses, start-ups and entrepreneurs.
But, there are some expenses involved in building a mailing list.
For starters, you’ll have to pay for your auto-responder. I recommend GetResponse or AWeber. Then there’s the cost of hosting and of your domain name for your website. An option is the Kalatu Blog, which is what I’m using for this blog. You can get your own here >>>Your Blog<<<. Your own domain name isn’t necessary with the Kalatu Blog, but if you want, you can get your own domain name at a variety of sites like GoDaddy, CheapDomain and many more. Then there’s advertising/promotional costs associated with driving traffic… It’s not a lot but it does add up.
This is why I’m happy to show you that there are numerous things you can do to build more subscribers, completely for free. Here are a few of them…
Ask Your Subscribers to Spread the Word
Once you’ve built up a small number of subscribers (small being relative but let’s say 100 for now), there’s no reason you can’t ask them to help you in increasing your list. Ask them to spread the word if they enjoy your content. If you want you can even incentivize them to share by offering a free report or ebook.
Do a Joint Venture
If you know another marketer in your niche that uses email, you can offer to promote their product to your list in exchange for them promoting your offer/product to their list. It’s completely free and because you’re getting an endorsement from someone who has already built up trust, it can be highly effective.
Make Your Giveaway ‘Limited Time Only’
Want to create a sudden surge of people signing up for your list? Tell them that the current giveaway is only going to be offered for the next week. This applies time pressure which is a fantastic way to drive more conversions.
Tweak Your Page
Simply moving your ‘subscribe’ button to the bottom right of your page has been shown to increase conversions. Or making it a part of a pop up when someone exits the page. The same goes for making subscribe buttons red. or neon green.
These are simple and easy changes you can make with very immediate results so it’s a great way to try and get more people to sign up.
These are just some of the things you can do completely for free to get more e-mails. Give them a try and see how easily you can profit from zero investment. Remember, you don’t always have to spend to grow.
