The K.I.S.S. Principle

Have you been struggling with sticking with your commitments?

Feeling overwhelmed with all the things that can be done to make money?

Wondering when internet marketing will work for you?

Wondering if you should even start doing internet marketing because there's so much to it?

The K.I.S.S. Principle – Keep It Simple, Stupid (or to some it may be Keep It Simple, Silly)

Something I'm reminded of regularly by fellow business owners, family and friends.

Yes, it applies to making money.

Yes, it applies to building a business.

Remember – Simple does NOT equal Easy!

Check out the Hot Dog Vendor's Business Plan:

  • Cook Hot Dogs.
  • Sell Hot Dogs.
  • Count Money.

Doesn't get any simpler than this.

What about you? What do you have on your plate that can be reduced to simple steps to take – today – toward your vision, your goal?

My Daily Action plan is pretty simple:

  • Write blog post.
  • Share blog post.
  • Get sales lead.
  • Nurture sales lead.
  • Convert sales lead to team member.
  • Help team member succeed

  1. Hi Charlene. I flat out agree with you. People can overthink and overdo, and then by the time the game is almost over, they say. OK, l am ready to take field. In the meanwhile, the people who would have bought the hotdogs already left the stands!!!

  2. Love the KISS reminder Charlene! I have to remind myself all the time to Keep it Simple Stupid. Isn’t it facinating how we like to try to over complicate things? This really is a great way to overcome the over complicating desease. Thanks great post

    1. Hi Mark – over complicating disease 🙂 yepper, that’s why we surround ourselves with like-minded people to keep us on track.

  3. Just like you said.. just because it is simple doesn’t mean it is easy.

Because if it was easy everyone would be doing it.

I really appreciate your Daily Action Plan. Again simple steps, that make huge impact in your business and personal life.

    Thank you for sharing.

    1. Oh Jon, you’re so right. If it was easy everyone would be doing it. Thank you for stopping by and being committed to success.

  4. …and what could be easier than an online, duplicatable system which, by the way, pays commissions up to $3,000? That sounds even easier than hot dogs!

    1. Ah, Rebecah, you are so spot on! I have no idea what could be easier … and you’re right, it sounds easier than selling hot dogs – though without the ‘steam facials’! LOL

  5. Great post Charlene! I always over-complicate things in my life, this is a good reminder to keep it simple 🙂

    1. Thanks, Nicole – yes, very easy to go astray, and that’s why I’m so grateful to be surrounded by like-minded people … they keep me on track!
