Morning Mindset: Your Magnificent Obsession
This morning’s Morning Mindset Cafe was truly inspirational for me.
We’ve been reading a bit of Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude
And, today we were on Chapter 15 titled: Your Magnificent Obsession.
It’s not focused on helping you find your magnificent obsession.
Instead, it’s a guide to developing an idea that will make you rich beyond your wildest dreams.
This idea will bring you a wealth of happiness. Your personality will expand. You will receive affection and love, both of a quality and quantity you have never before dreamed possible.
Develop an obsession – a Magnificent Obsession – to help others.
Yes, it is that simple. Yes, no matter who you are, you can have this magnificent obsession.
More importantly, you must see that you do have something to share with others that will help them. Time. Talent. Money. Smiles. Laughter. Cheer. Hope. Kindness. A Helping Hand.
It’s not complicated. Not at all.
Orison Swett Marden, Founder of Success Magazine, wrote the book Pushing to the Front.
He, like the authors of Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude, believed that character is the cornerstone for building and maintaining success. He taught there is something better than making a living: It is making a noble life.
Much discussion ensued about Random Acts of Kindness.
What is it you are sharing, willingly, today, and more importantly – that
Abundance Mindset isn’t about having a lot of money…it’s believing that you already have enough within you to share with others and that in the sharing and freely giving is where you receive 10-fold back.
America is great because its people live by a great philosophy of entrepreneurialism, independent thinking, ingenuity, innovative thinking and the ‘do it’ attitude. In addition, we’re known to be very generous with our hearts and wallets, willingly helping those in need.
A quotation we read affected many of us in the room, and I want you to read it … out loud. Twice. I hope it inspires you as it did us:
“What! Giving again?” I ask in dismay,
“And must I keep giving and giving away?”
“Oh no,” said the angel looking me through,
“Just keep giving till the Master stops giving to you!”
